The Gwapa Project is a group of passionate media professionals that use our collective media & production skills improve the web presence of community based organizations globally via social media and video creation training. Likewise, we’re dedicated to serving communities in developing countries by connecting them with creative and sustainable solutions. By teaming up with existing organizations, donations will support initiatives that are designated by and for the community, with the intent of fostering true community based development around the globe. The Gwapa Project was inspired from life changing experience while making Thirsty Girl’s upcoming documentary, Gwapa (Beautiful). Back in August, we were a finalist for the “Flights. Camera. Action.” contest winning a slew of airline miles American Airlines and Startup America Partnership.

February 2013 marked our very first project as an organization. We ventured to San Juan Del Sur, Nicaragua to create a short film for the Barrio Planta Project, an amazing non profit that offers english and arts education to local kids. Look out for updates on the final short film coming soon!
